Privacy Policy — Milestone Rally
Last updated: 2 August 2026
This policy explains how Visualisedata Pty Ltd ("we", "us") handles information in the mobile game Milestone Rally (the "App"). Questions? Contact chris@visualisedata.com.au.
The short version
- You don't create an account, and we never ask for your name, email, or phone number.
- The App shows ads (via Google AdMob) and has an online leaderboard (via Google Firebase). These collect limited data, described below.
- On iOS we ask your permission before any tracking, and in the EEA/UK we ask your consent before personalised ads. You can decline.
- We don't sell your personal information.
Information we collect
Information you choose to provide. An optional display name (nickname) you can set for the leaderboard. It's a nickname — it doesn't have to identify you, and you can leave it blank.
Advertising data (Google AdMob). To show ads, Google collects a mobile advertising identifier, approximate (coarse) location, and ad-interaction data, and may use device and diagnostic information. Where you have not consented to personalised ads (or have opted out of tracking), Google serves non-personalised ads instead.
Online leaderboard (Google Firebase). When your score is submitted to the leaderboard we store an anonymous player identifier, your optional display name, and your game scores with timestamps, so we can rank players by day, week, month, and all-time. Sign-in is anonymous — no email or password.
Diagnostics. Crash and performance data may be collected to keep the App working and fix problems.
On-device data. Small preferences (whether you've seen the tutorial, sound on/off, your nickname, and a per-install player id) are stored locally on your device and are removed when you delete the App.
How we use information
- To run the game and save your local settings.
- To display ads that keep the App free.
- To provide the online leaderboard and rank scores.
- To diagnose crashes and improve performance.
Advertising, tracking & your choices
Ads are provided by Google AdMob. On iOS 14+, the App uses Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt to ask your permission before tracking; if you decline, you'll see non-personalised ads. In the European Economic Area and the UK, we use Google's consent flow to obtain your GDPR consent for personalised ads before showing them. You can reset your advertising identifier in your device settings.
Third-party services
The App uses Google services (AdMob and Firebase). Data handled by Google is subject to Google's Privacy Policy: policies.google.com/privacy. Google's use of the advertising identifier for ads is described at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. Information is shared only with the service providers above (Google) to deliver the features described, or where required by law. Your leaderboard nickname and score are visible to other players on the public leaderboard.
Data retention & deletion
On-device data is deleted when you uninstall the App. To have your leaderboard entry and associated data removed, contact us at chris@visualisedata.com.au and we will delete it.
Children's privacy
The App is a general-audience game. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us and we will delete it.
International transfers
Our service providers may process data on servers outside your country, including where data-protection laws differ. Where required, appropriate safeguards are applied by those providers.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the EU/UK GDPR or the CCPA in California), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict use of your personal information, and to opt out of tracking or personalised ads. To exercise these, contact chris@visualisedata.com.au.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
